an encyclopaedic experiment
What's going on here? Well, things are a bit messy, I must admit. I started this blog for building a little, personal musician's encyclopedia, doing it in a backwards way, starting with the letter Z. Short after reaching Y my stamina had worn down a bit, and this was put on a hiatus. However, occasionally I come back to the idea and will proceed with either the encyclopedia or some general remarks about music or the arts in general.

the trombone part reminds me a bit of 'the munsters' interpretation by the melody four. the cannon singing fits perfectly. "up she rises", indeed: the female vocal part is climbing higher and higher...
good fun, really, and wonderful raw fodder for mr. lucky fumble-a-round ;)

hope you 2 don't mind! cheers
Certainly your fumble-a-round is most welcome. I regret a bit, that I didn't keep the audacity tracks, but only the mp3 file. With the single tracks you could have done even more, I'm sure.
The Melody Four comparison is way too much. There's a big difference: We just hit something by accident (well, my wife can be really professional, especially when singing traditional Chinese music, so I should say: I just hit something by accident), but they - the Melody Four - exactly know what they are doing.
Anyway, thanks for playing with us!
you certainly didn't hit something by accident, dear spring day! you very cleverly made layers of music, and all sounds like it was made easy, but it was your imagination to create it - the cannon, the orchestration, etc.
but of course it's your right to judge it like that. i'm mis-judging my own stuff almost every time, thinking that it's not worth it...
